GP practices are open and continue to provide services as they have done throughout the pandemic. This means that for patients, their GP practice is open and providing GP services, with face to face appointments available to those who need them. Any patient who is asked to come into the Practice for a Face to Face consultation with a GP or a Nurse MUST wear a face covering.

Stress is a normal reaction to the rapidly changing and uncertain times we are all living in at the moment. If you are feeling a bit more stressed than usual and would like to learn how to deal with common problems like anxiety, depression, panicky feelings, poor sleep and poor wellbeing then please contact Supporting Minds Blackpool for support. Instead, patients will be required to order directly from the practice or use online services such as myGP or Patient Access.

NHS Blackpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which plans and buys local health services, has introduced the changes to improve patient safety and reduce unnecessary costs from waste.
Services
We regard ourselves as a modern, forward thinking and friendly practice at the heart of the South Shore Community of Blackpool which puts patient welfare at the heart of all we do.
We keep abreast of the many exciting developments in the investigation of medical problems and their treatments.
We remain committed to the ideals of traditional family medicine, namely a holistic approach with continuity of care.
We work within the framework of NHS Primary Care Services to provide professional medical, nursing and other services which meet the identified needs of patients.
Patients who suffer from the above conditions should be reviewed regularly.
Clinics are held by Nurse Sarah in conjunction with the doctors and are by appointment only.
All female patients between 25 and 65 are advised to have regular smear tests every three years for 25-49 and every five years 50-64.
Smear tests are important because they can detect early signs of the disease which is then easily treated.
If you are aged 75 or over, you should be seen at least once a year to check on your health and general welfare.
For all urgent appointments, we ask that you undertake a symptom assessment through DoctorLink.
The symptom assessment will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem.
The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, your GP, nurse or self-care.
Once the request has been submitted, you will then be contacted by the Practice Team, to arrange an appointment within the identified timeframe (as outlined in the outcome of your symptom checker).
Information in patient records is important for medical research to develop new treatments and test the safety of medicines.
This practice supports medical research by sending some of the information from patient records to the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD).
CPRD is a Government organisation that provides anonymised patient data for research to improve patient and public health.
If you do not want anonymised information from your patient record to be used in research you can opt out by speaking to your doctor.
Under the Health and social Care Act 2008 (The Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 Part 4), the registering body (Arnold Medical Centre) is required to provide to the Care Quality Commission a statement of purpose.
The Practice is located in the south Blackpool area and is open to all patients living within our practice boundary.
We work in partnership with our patients and our Patient Group to provide medical care for our patients.
There is a car park to the rear of the Practice including a disabled bay and easy access for wheelchairs.
