Patients should not attend more than 5 minutes before their appointment time - if you attend early, you will be asked to wait outside or in your car until your appointment time. Please contact the practice if aged 18+ or had a letter or text invite and not had your 1st vaccine. Otherwise please do not contact the practice until called. Reception is open Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:30 and closed Wednesday lunchtime for staff development.

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service.
It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get your medicines or appliances from.
Karis Medical Centre is part of the myhealthcare federation of practices in Birmingham.
This allows our receptionists to book evening and weekend, GP and nurse appointments at our local hub in Harborne.

These are the GPs based at Karis Medical Centre who work alongside a full team of clinical and non-clinical staff within the heart of Birmingham.
The practice also has one or two GP Registrars who are doctors completing GP training.
Please try and stay with one doctor to help provide the benefits of continuity of care.
These are the Nurses based at Karis Medical Centre who provide a wide range of services from wound care, travel advice, screening, immunisations, minor illness and long term condition support.

The Patient Practice Group (PPG) at Karis Medical Centre was set up in 2011 to understand the views of patients on the services that the Practice offered.
The group reviews everything from access to the services, to local health needs, to the effect of the changes in the NHS on the practice.
It is an open membership group that encourages involvement and attendance from all areas of the practice community- all patients registered at Karis Medical Centre are eligible to be part of the Patient Group.

You can make a face to face or telephone appointment with one of our GPs for up to two weeks in a advance.
If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.
Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
Your details will then be passed onto the oncall duty doctor or specialist minor illness nurse who will ring you to triage your problem.
